Okay, I have finally begun the promised project of producing an on-line form book. For now, this is free, on the condition that I am not to be held responsible for anything you choose to use. Consider everything on this page (or anywhere on the website, for that matter) to be Beta only. First, I have written an article for ACTEC (American College of Trust and Estate Counsel) on document assembly, that I am posting as the first document below. It sort of explains what I am doing, and how and why I am doing it. The next entry is a self-extracting archive, using Stuffit Deluxe, of a handful of BRACKETED FORMS that I produced using my MAIL MERGE program as a Form Generator. I have produced these forms using Microsoft Word's MAIL MERGE feature, in conjunction with a FileMaker database. These BRACKETED FORMS that are not MAIL MERGE forms, and they can be used and manipulated via GLOBAL SEARCH AND REPLACE. (Again, the forms are for discussion purposes only, and are created for lawyers only, who it is presumed will no what changes and corrections need to be made.) Eventually, I hope to produce these forms, and perhaps 50 more, updated annually, in a more reliable format, on CD, for an annual fee of around $199. Consider this a preview. Let me know if you think the idea worth pursuing. Next in the table below, and for the truly committed only, is a self-extracting archive of the MAIL MERGE FORMS themselves. I am posting the MAIL MERGE FORMS that generated the BRACKETED FORMS for the very few of you who might want to see how my system works. Finally, I am posting copies of my FileMaker Databases, for any of you who have FileMaker and want to take a peek. Don't forget to look at the Annotated Forms posted on the IRA & QP Forms and the Wills & Trust Forms pages. (See the brown navigation buttons above.)
